About Daegan Lunsford
Daegan Lunsford is a Toronto-based fine artist and illustrator recognized for his distinctive monochromatic aesthetic. Working primarily with pen and ink, his drawings reflect his own counterculture roots and promote the use of ink as a fine art medium. His artwork exhibits a long-term fascination with strangeness and nostalgia, and is often composed in a tableau style, with an emphasis on graphic narrative and symbolism, such as My Way (2024)
Hailing from small-town America and currently residing in Toronto, Daegan is consistently working with new ideas and concepts. With a focus on bold black-and-white compositions drawing from his own personal experiences and various cultural influences, Daegan invites his viewers to explore the unique narrative within each of his pieces.
Outside of his personal practice, Daegan is also a curator, instructor, illustrator, and avid participant in all aspects of Toronto’s art scene, particularly focused on promoting a collective network of artists and the rise of genuine community within art scenes worldwide.
